(Beirut) – Nine people are dead and thousands are injured, following what appears to be a coordinated attack targeting pagers in Lebanon. Officials in the Middle Eastern country say upward of 2,750 were left hurt when the communication devices suddenly exploded Monday night.
Apparently the pagers exploded all at once, severely injuring many who were holding or near them. Since, Lebanese officials have cast blame on the Israeli military. But the IDF did not comment on the incident. Hezbollah and the IDF have been trading fire ever since the war in Gaza began.
Hezbollah has vowed that Israel will receive “just punishment,” for what it’s calling a “sinful aggression.”
