Suffolk County Marcus Castro / USA TODAY NETWORK

(Babylon, NY) — Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney is asking the public for help identifying a body that could be connected to the Gilgo Beach murder spree. Tierney’s office released a sketch of a young man of Asian decent known as “Asian Doe” whose remains were found off Ocean Parkway back in 2011. Prosecutors say the unknown victim, who died from blunt force trauma was wearing women’s clothing, and may have been a sex worker who spent time in New York City prior to being murdered.

DA Tierney says the man was likely dead for at least five years before the body was discovered. He did not directly connect the man’s murder to the alleged Gilgo Beach suspect, Rex Heuermann who has already been charged with six murders in the area.

Tierney says this victim was between 17 and 23 years old
