(New York, NY) — New York State Senator Jessica Ramos officially launched her campaign for mayor on Friday morning. She is the first female to jump into the 2025 City Hall race. Ramos joins Mayor Eric Adams and Comptroller Brad Lander who are also vying to win the Democratic nomination next year.
Ramos made her mayoral announcement in a video released Friday morning. In that video, she questions Mayor Adams ability to lead amid numerous investigation of individuals in his inner circle. The 39-year-old from Queens says that she will bring trust back to City Hall
If she were to win, Ramos would be the first female mayor and the first Latina to serve in the office.
