(New York, NY) — Mayor Adams say there is no truth to the rumors that City Hall is trying to push Police Commissioner Eddie Caban out as an FBI investigation swirls around the NYPD. Adams says no charges have been filed against any of his inner circle members who have been visited by the FBI over the last month. Deputy Mayor Sheena Wright says she’s confident she’s done nothing wrong when asked about the FBI raiding her home, but refused to comment on the investigation.
Numerous published reports claim investigators are looking into whether Commissioner Caban’s twin brother James may have sought payments from nightclub owners in exchange for special protection from police.
