(Washington, DC) – Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo faced a bi-partisan grilling for his executive order sending nine-thousand COVID-infected people back into nursing homes. During a House hearing on Tuesday (September 10, 2024) Cuomo was questioned over the order issued during the pandemic, and allegations that he underreported New York nursing home deaths. He issued a mandate during the crisis ordering nursing homes to admit patients who’d tested positive for the illness.
Cuomo said he’s not sure who wrote the order, even though it came from his office with his signature at the top. The former Governor faced over two hours of grilling from the committee
