(Naugatuck, Connecticut) — Cops in Naugatuck, Connecticut are looking for a porch pirate who has been dressing up as an Amazon delivery man, and instead of dropping off packages he takes them.
Police believe the thief may be part of a larger network of criminals who are wearing delivery uniforms as they go door to door ripping off homeowners. The fake Amazon vests can actually be purchased on the Amazon website.
Police say September to December is high season for packages deliveries, so it’s a busy time for porch pirates too. They are telling homeowners to put up doorbell cameras as a deterrent, or have packages delivered to work or remote Amazon lockers.
