(Plainview, NY) — The parents of a Long Island native who was taken hostage by Hamas on October 7th say they still hold out hope that he will be found alive. Orna and Ronen Neutra are from Plainview and they appeared on the Today Show a day after six hostages held by Hamas were found shot dead in a tunnel in Gaza. The Neutras say they will continue to speak out until their son, Omer is freed by his Hamas captors.
The couple spoke at the Republican National Convention back in July and and have met with President Joe Biden and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. They can routinely be seen wearing t-shirts that bear their son’s picture. They say the wait for information on his whereabouts has been painful and paralyzing.
