(Manhasset, NY) – A former top aide for New York Governor Kathy Hochul is under arrest. FBI agents took Linda Sun and her husband Chris Hu into custody on Tuesday. This follows a July search of the couple’s Manhasset home, conducted by the FBI, which was widely reported.
Sun previously served as a deputy chief of staff to Hochul. She also worked in former Governor Cuomo’s administration. The couple are expected to go in front of a judge in Brooklyn Federal Court Tuesday afternoon.
Sun and Hu’s home is valued at near $3.5 million and resides in a gated community called Stone Hill. They purchased it in 2021. It was placed in a trust earlier this year per records.
An official government bio shows Sun was named Hochul’s deputy chief of staff in September of 2021.
