(Bridgeton, NJ) – A wild incident caught on video nearly ended with a woman being bitten by a tiger at a zoo in South Jersey. In the video, the woman approaches the tiger enclosure at Cohanzick Zoo in Bridgeton — which is about an hour’s drive south of Philadelphia. The woman eventually sticks her hand into the enclosure, through a fence, and her hand is nearly bit.
Cops put out the footage as they want to speak with the woman. It’s not clear when it happened.
A statement on Facebook from Bridgeton Police says: “A female at the Cohanzick Zoo went over the wooden fence at the tiger enclosure and began enticing the tiger almost getting bit by putting her hand through the wire enclosure. We are asking if anyone recognizes the female in the video/photo. Reminder to the public when visiting the zoo that it is against City Ordinance to climb over any fence.”

In 2019, a similar thing happened at the Bronx Zoo in New York City. A woman climbed into a lion enclosure and taunted the big cat. In that incident the lion stood motionless, watching her.
