(Queens, New York) – The NYPD is searching for two women following a fatal hit-and-run in Queens early Tuesday morning. Police say two vehicles, one U-Haul and one car got into an accident, jumped the curb and fatally struck a 56-year-old. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the car was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital to recover. The two women in the U-Haul are reported to have run off before police could arrive.
Police are looking at surveillance video to determine what happened. The tragic event occurred just after midnight.
