(New York, NY) – The latest poll from The New York Times and Siena College is putting Vice President Kamala Harris a four point lead over former President Donald Trump in three key swing states. The survey from August 5th to August 9th asked likely voters who they would vote for if the election were held today, and 50% responded Harris versus 46% going for Trump. The lead is within the 4-point margin of error.

The three states that were targeted were Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan. In 2020, Wisconsin was one of the closest states to call with Biden securing the win by less than one percent. Pennsylvania and Michigan also went blue by a slim margin.

Before taking over at the top of the ticket, previous NYT/Siena surveys put Trump in the lead in  Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Harris has also gotten a boost in enthusiasm behind her campaign since announcing her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
