(Washington, DC) – Another assassination attempt against former President Trump seems “inevitable” — according to a Secret Service sniper who is speaking out. In a scathing letter that’s now reportedly circulating within the agency, the sniper said “This agency NEEDS to change, if not now, WHEN? The NEXT assassination attempt in 30 days?” RealClearPolitics was the first outlet to publish the letter.
The sniper is reportedly demanding five of the Secret Service’s top officials resign. So far, one such official has stepped down — former director Kim Cheatle. In the letter, the sniper continued: “We all SHOULD expect another attempt to happen before November. We’ve exposed our inability to protect our leaders due to our leadership.”
The New York Post says it has confirmed with law enforcement officials that the letter is legit. It was apparently sent on Monday to the Secret Service Uniformed Division, which secures the White House. The sniper says top level officials have failed the rank-and-file Secret Service members. “Sadly we have fallen short for YEARS. We just got lucky and looked good doing it,” the letter said. “I have conveyed these thoughts to not only supervisors … Only to be brushed off as those with less experience somehow knew more than me.”
Meanwhile, former President Trump is speaking out concerning the July 13 attempt on his life. During his appearance on 77 WABC’s “Sid and Friends in the Morning” show, Trump said: “They say I’m not democratic, I’m not democratic. I’m a threat to democracy. It’s just a sound bite, it means nothing to them to say it. (But) Maybe it’s the reason I was shot. Who knows? Rhetorically, it’s a terrible thing to say about somebody like me, but they say it all the time.” You can listen to that entire interview with Trump here.
