11 shot in 12 hours in NYC

(New York, NY) — 11 people were shot across the city between 3PM Monday and 3AM Tuesday morning. Six took bullets in the Bronx. Four were shot in Brooklyn in just one hour, including a 21-year-old who was hit in the hand by gunfire in Flatbush, and a 35-year-old who was shot multiple times in Crown Heights.  In East Harlem, a 24-year-old was shot early Tuesday.

Two women are among the gun violence victims in the Bronx . A 29-year-old was shot in the thigh and a 28-year-old was hit in the right leg and arm, both in the Morrisania section of the borough.
The women were rushed to Lincoln Hospital and are expected to survive. The other victims across the city range in age from 16 to 64. As of Tuesday morning, the NYPD had not released the motives for the shootings or how many arrests have been made.
