More of President Biden’s allies are calling on him to drop out of the 2024 presidential race. In an interview with CNN’s “State of the Union,” West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin said it was time for Biden to “pass the torch to a new generation.” Manchin said he wants Biden to serve the remainder of his term and do what he can to calm the rhetoric and unite the country. A growing number of congressional Democrats say it’s time for Biden to leave the race due to concerns over his mental fitness and whether he can beat Donald Trump in November.
