(Milwaukee, Wisconsin) – Former President Donald Trump is expected to announce his pick for Vice President this week at the Republican National Convention. Earlier this week, Trump had been teasing his choice for VP.
In a recent interview, Trump mentioned some of the reported top contenders: South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, Ohio Senator JD Vance, and North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum. This convention is different than many others in the past as tensions are high after the assassination attempt on Donald Trump Saturday evening.
The former president arrived in Milwaukee Sunday, just one day the assassination attempt at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, killing one attendee and wounding two others. The president’s ear was grazed by a bullet, the shooter killed by Secret Service.
