(Butler, PA)  — Former President Donald Trump is “fine” after shots were fired in an assassination attempt at a rally Saturday afternoon in Butler, Pennsylvania. Trump put his hand to the right side of his head before ducking and was then swarmed by Secret Service. When the former President stood back up he had blood around his right ear. After Secret Service got the call that the shooter had been neutralized, Trump stood up and pumped his fist in the air, saying something to the Pennsylvania crowd before being walked to his motorcade.

In a social media post Saturday night, Trump claimed that he had been “shot with a bullet” that hit him in his right ear and says that he knew something was wrong when he heard “whizzing sounds.”

The weapon used in the attack has not been specified, but it has been confirmed that another rally attendee, alongside the shooter has died. This all comes just days before former President Trump will accept the nomination from the Republican party in Milwaukee.

President Biden held a press conference Saturday night condemning all political violence and telling the nation that he’s happy that the former President is doing okay.
