(New York, New York) – They can’t stand it. The Beastie Boys are suing the owners of Chilli’s for using their 1994 classic “Sabotage” in commercials without permission. The complaint was filed in federal court in New York earlier this week.
The band is accusing the restaurant chain’s parent Brinker International of putting out promotional videos that used the song and parodied its music video. The trio is very well known for not allowing their music to appear in ad’s promoting products so this is a serious matter for them.
