(New York, New York) – The city faced a wave of crime Tuesday night after two separate altercations ended in two stabbings at neighboring subway stations.
The first stabbing occurred at the Times-Square 42nd Street subway station around 11:30 pm and left a 31-year-old man with injuries, but he’s expected to be okay. Police say the suspects fled southbound on the A-C-E lines after surrounding the man and stabbing him.
The second incident happened at the Bryant Park 42nd street station and left a 24-year-old man slashed on the arm. The 25-year-old suspect in this incident was taken into police custody.
The MTA is not only facing challenges keeping trains on track, but they have to mitigate crime in the subways in the process.
