John Cena is hanging up his wrestling trunks

(Toronto, Canada) — Pro wrestling icon John Cena plans to retire from the WWE following WrestleMania 2025. The 47-year-old star announced his retirement during a surprise appearance at WWE’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view event in Toronto over the weekend. Cena told wrestling fans that he will take part in the 2025  Royal Rumble, and then end his career in Las Vegas at  WrestleMania 2025.

Cena says he plans to stay with the WWE in other capacities, but he did not detail what he would be doing  The 16-time world champion says right now he is looking forward to being part of the WWE’s move to Netflix in January.  He says lots of surprises are in store for fans before he leaves the ring for good.
