(New York, New York) – Pools across the City are finally open for the season after heat waves took a toll on the city this past month. Mayor Eric Adams will help open the City’s biggest outdoor pool in Astoria after a multi-million dollar makeover. The city has more than 50 outdoor pools throughout the five boroughs that will be open until Sunday, September 8th.
Outdoor pool hours are from 11:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m. daily, with a break for pool cleaning between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. The city also offers free swimming classes for those who want to learn.
