(Atlanta, GA) – The first Presidential Debate of the 2024 Presidential Election will take place tonight. Standing at their podiums 8-feet apart from each other, President Joe Biden and Former President Donald Trump will face off on live television to answer the questions that many Americans have on their minds. But before we get to watch the debate, there’s some things you might want to know about it first.

The moderators of the debate will be CNN’s Jake Tapper and Dana Bash. There will be no live audience in the studio. Candidates will have 2-minutes to answer each question, and 1-minute for responses and rebuttals.

The moderators will have discretion to allow one extra minute for clarifications. Candidates will have timing lights so they will know exactly how much of their allotted time they have left. At the end of their times, the candidates’ microphones will be turned off automatically, using sound cancellation technology, they will not be heard any longer.
