(White Plains, NY) — It’s one of the most watched congressional races in the nation, Democratic Congressman Jamaal Bowman, a member of the “squad” is trying his hardest to outlast a challenge from within his own party, from Westchester County Executive George Latimer. The two have viciously attacked each other during a series of debates. Latimer has accused Bowman of only serving a small portion of the 16th District he represents, while Bowman says that Latimer is too pro-Israel and supports genocide in Gaza. The Congressman also claims Latimer is racist, an accusation the County Executive says is completely untrue. Voters head to the polls on Tuesday.
The primary race is now the costliest in the country. The two campaigns have spent more than 22-million dollars in total so far. The biggest donor has been a pro-Israel Super PAC, which has spent more than eleven million on ads and mailings for Latimer.
