(New York, NY) – As the summer heat blasts the boroughs, a potential strike of the city’s electric workers was also looming following the expiration of the contract between union workers and the company. They were in negotiations for several hours before reaching a tentative agreement that gave workers better wages and healthcare benefits.
The deal still has to be voted on by union workers. The group represents a range of 8,000 employees with the electric supplier from field technicians to administrators.
