It’s getting hot in here

(New York, New York) – A cruel heatwave is getting worse and worse over the tri-state area. Temps are so hot that scores of the record high temperatures were either broken, or matched up and down the east coast. The heat came so early this year that NYC pools aren’t even open for the season yet. New Yorkers aren’t completely out of luck though, the option of cooling centers across the city still exists for anyone in need, at no cost.

It is highly recommended during these times to stay inside with the AC on, especially those with chronic health problems. Don’t forget to check in on vulnerable friends, family members and neighbors. The National Weather Service says, a heat advisory is issued when the combination of heat and humidity is expected to make it feel like it is 95 to 99 degrees for two or more consecutive days, or 100 to 104 degrees for any length of time.
