(Washington, D.C.) – Thousands of pro–Palestinian demonstrators gathered outside the White House to protest the Biden administration and the war in Gaza. Protestors linked arms encircling the property with a large red banner, saying that the Biden administration and Israel had crossed a red line in Rafah.
The Secret Service was closely monitoring the event and fencing was put up around the perimeter. However, Biden was not in D.C at the time, as he was still in France commemorating the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
The demonstrations happened in the wake of a major Israeli military operation in central Gaza. That mission led to the rescue of 4 Israeli hostages and the deaths of over 200 Palestinian civilians.
