(New York, New York) – Everyone is lining up to get hit with congestion pricing, whether you have a car or not.

The NY Post says, Mechanical East, a Brooklyn-based air-conditioning and ventilation service firm is already alerting customers below 60th Street that beginning June 30, they will get hit with a $15 surcharge for all work orders to compensate for the toll.

People who oppose the bill have tried warning residents for months that they’ll have to cough up the fee, whether they’re the ones driving or not.

The MTA says the new bill will be a fundraiser for public transportation in the city, saying the extra funds will be enabling them to pay for new subway trains, signal overhauls, a new expansion of the Second Avenue subway into East Harlem and other major projects, while reducing Midtown congestion.

Tolls will be substantially lower during off-peak hours, $3.75 for cars, which is still $3.75 more than New Yorkers need to pay now.
