(New York, New York) – The NYPD is investigating three different pellet gun shootings around the city to see if they’re connected. Surveillance video shows three people biking on Clinton Street with one waving around a big orange gun. The gun can be seen being pointed at a group standing along the sidewalk. One of the victims, an MTA worker, told police that on Sunday night his driver side window was shattered by the shooter and that pellets of the BB gun hit and were lodged into his car. Another man said, on Sunday morning he was hit in the arm while walking home from his synagogue in the Lower East Side. Just 45 minutes after that, another man was struck in the back on Fifth Avenue near 35th Street.
While the NYPD investigates, anyone with any information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
