(Massapequa Park, NY) — Investigators are back searching the Massapequa Park home of accused Gilgo Beach serial killer, Rex Heuermann. On Monday, detectives could be seen making their way in and out of the house with boxes of items. Last year, detectives tore the home apart looking for evidence that tied Heuermann to the murders of four women who’s bodies were found on Gilgo Beach. Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney would not detail what prompted the latest search.

Heuermann was last in a Long Island courtroom in April. The 60-year-old New York City architect is charged with murdering four women found buried along Ocean Parkway in 2010. Prosecutors are operating on the theory that the “Gilgo Four” were killed in Heuermann’s home, their bodies dumped elsewhere. He’s plead not guilty.
