(Bronx, NY) — Here is another cautionary tale about online dating, that comes from a man in the Bronx. Police say a 47-year-old-hooked up on an app with another man, and invited him into his home in University Heights on the afternoon of May 4th. Once inside the West Fordham Road home, the wanted scammer stole the victim’s clothes and his Apple Watch. The 47-year-old tried to stop the thief as he walked out the door of his apartment, and was punched in the face. Police say they have pictures of the thief. They are circulating them around in hopes someone will recognize him, and then turn him in.
