News: Heavy Rain in New York City
(New York, NY) — Prosecutors say they have busted a midtown Manhattan store that was selling stolen goods at discounted prices. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg says Rehana’s Cosmetics had more than one million in stolen goods in storage. Their brick-and-mortar store on 6th Avenue was also allegedly buying items from shoplifters, who stole them from stores in the neighborhood. When investigators raided the business they found boxes upon boxes of stolen goods, like beauty supplies, kitchenware and appliances. They were worth more then one million dollars. Prosecutors say $200,000 of those items were stolen from Macy’s.
