(St. Louis, MO) — Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein was among 200-plus protesters who were arrested at pro-Palestinian demonstrations on four college campuses across the country this weekend. Stein was carted away, along with her campaign manager and 80 other protesters at Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri on Saturday. Mass arrests also took place on the campuses of Arizona State, Indiana and Northeastern University in Boston. Campus protests nationwide have interrupted and classes and finals. USC has canceled its main graduation ceremony, while California State Polytechnic University of Humboldt has shut down its campus for the remainder of the semester.
Jill Stein’s campaign manager says the 70-year-old candidate stands united with pro Palestinian protesters across the nation. She wants universities to divest from Boeing, which Stein says manufactures munitions used in the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza.
