(Austin, TX) – The troubled early days of Tesla’s Cybertrucks continue. The electric vehicle leader is recalling thousands of the trucks due to a safety issyue. Manufactured in Texas, the futuristic-looking battery-powered SUVs apparently have an issue with the accelerator. A pad has the potential to come loose and get stuck — leaving the car in “floor it” mode.
Videos have gone viral on social media in which the accelerator issue is clearly displayed. This comes as the truck has faced numerous issues in terms of delayed deliveries, and things like the vehicle’s frame becoming rusty in spots. Tesla also recently announced layoffs, with upward of 10% reductions expected for the company’s global workforce.
