(Brooklyn, NY) — Monday night was an exciting one for basketball star Caitlin Clark in Brooklyn, where the WNBA draft took place. The Indiana Fever selected Clark with the number one pick. The former Iowa Hawkeye guard set numerous records during her college basketball career. In her senior season, Clark became the all-time NCAA Division One men’s and women’s scoring leader. She also owns the record for the most three-pointers in a single season by any male or female player, and was the first player in NCAA tournament history with three career 40-point games.

Caitlin’s losing effort in the NCAA’s women’s basketball championship game broke viewership records. It was the most watched basketball game, men’s or women’s, college or pro since 2019. The final drew 18-point-seven-million viewers. It marked the third time in a week that a game featuring Clark and the Hawkeyes broke viewership records.
