(New York, NY) – The solar eclipse has given the US economy a boost. As millions went on the move to get within the so-called “path of totality,” the travel sector benefitted. Lodging and travel, including hotels, Airbnb, and airlines, have all benefitted. Retailers also sold an increased number of portable chairs and of course eclipse-viewing glasses.
But for pop star Bonnie Tyler, it’s been all about throwing it back to 1983, and her hit song “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” It’s become the sort of unofficial anthem of this year’s eclipse, and the song has soared to the top of the charts as a result. “Total Eclipse of the Heart” is at the top of playlists on Spotify as a result of the buzz. Tyler continues to perform the song live at concerts to this day and says she’ll never tire of it.
