(New York, NY) — The Mets are holding their final spring workout at Citi Field today ahead of tomorrow’s season opener. The Amazins’ will host the Milwaukee Brewers Thursday to open the 2024 season. The Mets new manager, Carolos Mendoza will put lefthander Jose Quintana on the mound. The Brewers will counter with Freddy Peralta who has won each of his two career starts against New York. First pitch tomorrow is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. at Citi Field. The Yankees are beginning the season on the road when they visit the Houston Astros.

The Yankees are dealing with a few injuries. Third baseman DJ LeMahieu will miss some time during spring training because of a pretty significant bone bruise in his right foot. Aaron Judge is expected to return to the lineup though. Judge hasn’t taken batting practice on the infield or played since March 10th due to abdominal discomfort.
