(Bronx, NY) – According to News 12 The Bronx, FBI agents investigated the home of one of Mayor Eric Adams’ top aides on Thursday. The report says FBI agents had blocked off all four corners of an intersection near the home as of the early morning hours. This was at an address along Gilespie Avenue in Pelham Bay.

New York City Department of Finance records show that Winnie Greco owns the home. She serves as New York City’s director of Asian affairs, and has been described as a member of Mayor Adams’ inner circle. News reports indicate she’s served an outsized role in helping Mayor Adams raise campaign funds from the Asian community.

News 12’s report notes it has no direct knowledge of any law enforcement investigation that centers on or involves Greco. That said, in November of last year a home in Brooklyn was raided where one of Adams’ top campaign fundraising officials lives. At that time, reports suggested the investigation was looking at a potential straw donor scheme involving a Brooklyn construction firm and the Turkish government.

A City Hall spokesperson provided the following statement to 77 WABC: “Our administration will always follow the law, and we always expect all our employees to adhere to the strictest ethical guidelines. As we have repeatedly said, we don’t comment on matters that are under review, but will fully cooperate with any review underway. The mayor has not been accused of any wrongdoing.”
