(Brooklyn, NY) — Court officers had to separate people in a Brooklyn courtroom Tuesday involved in pushing and shoving after the verdict in the Jam Master Jay murder trial. Karl Jordan, his godson, and close friend Ronald Washington were found guilty on all charges in the music icon’s death whose real name is Jason Mizell. A third defendant, Jay Bryant, is also charged, however he’s being tried in a separate case that will be heard in two years. The verdict comes more than 20 years after Jam Master Jay was shot at a recording studio in Jamaica, leaving the case unsolved. In 2020, the US attorney indicted Washington and Jordan on charges of conspiring to kill Jam Master Jay over a drug deal.
