(New York, NY) — The CDC says contagious stomach bugs, including norovirus, are circulating right now and hitting the Northeast especially hard. The CDC says the positivity rate for norovirus, which causes cramps, vomiting and diarrhea, is more than 15-percent in the Northeast. A public school in Highland Park, New Jersey was forced to close and undergo a deep cleaning earlier this month because of norovirus. And doctors at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia say several GI bugs are circulating at the same time. If you do get a stomach bug, doctors recommend drinking lots of fluids to keep from getting dehydrated.
