(New York, NY) — Three brazen thieves held up a meatpacking district Gucci store in the middle of the day on Monday. The trio, holding guns told everyone to get on the ground as they gathered up as much merchandise as they could. They fled the store and got into a waiting car that took off down 14th Street. No customers or staff were hurt. The NYPD says the crew got away with around $51,000 in Gucci items.
Tourists milling around the meatpacking district were shocked to hear the crime was pulled off with so many people around. The NYPD says it has very clear surveillance camera pictures of the wanted robbers. They have made no arrests.
