(Washington, DC) — President Biden is defending his mental fitness after a report by the Justice Department that claimed “he’s a senior citizen with not a great memory”. Biden addressed the nation Thursday night after a DOJ report cleared him of any criminal charges related to his storing of classified documents at his personal residence. The DOJ added it would not pursue charges because, in part, any jury would look at him as a sympathetic figure with a “poor memory.” Last night, Biden disputed that accusation, telling reporters “I know what the hell I am doing.”
Biden lashed out at special counsel Robert Hur following the almost 400-page report being released. Hur wrote that he feld Biden’s memory was “significantly limited,” also raising questions as to if he remembered the timing of his son’s death. Biden said that when he was asked the question, he did not think it was anyone’s business on the matter. He also pushed back at questions regarding how his age might not make him the top choice to defeat former President Trump in this year’s election, to which he replied that he is the “most qualified person in the country” to finish the job that he started.
