(Washington, DC) — The Republican-led House Rules Committee voted 8-4 Monday night to send an impeachment case against Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to the House floor for a full vote. The committee concluded Mayorkas has willfully refused to comply with federal immigration laws. The full House vote could come as early as today. Republicans hold a slim majority in the House. Mayorkas could be the first Cabinet official impeached in nearly 150 years.
