(Willingboro, N.J.) — One of the three U.S. soldiers killed in the drone strike in Jordan over the weekend is from New Jersey. He enlisted in the Army Reserve in 2011 as an electrician and served in Iraq for nine months in 2018.
Governor Phil Murphy will sign an executive order later this week lowering flags to half-staff in River’s honor. Senator Cory Booker, released a statement saying Rivers served with courage, honor, and a deep sense of duty.
