WASHINGTON, D.C. — The House Homeland Security Committee will present articles of impeachment on Tuesday against DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over his management of the border. House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries says there’s no proof Mayorkas has committed an impeachable offense, or broken the law. The Republican led panel accuses Mayorkas of refusing to follow legal guidelines as thousands of migrants continue to stream across the U.S. Southern Border. Speaker Mike Johnson says a vote by the full House will occur once the articles of impeachment against Mayorkas are forwarded from the security committee.
