What’s Ricardo the Bull Up To These Days?

(Newark, NJ) – Ever since he broke free from the slaughter house in Newark and ended up at Penn Station, New Jersey’s beloved runaway bull Ricardo has been on quite an adventure. After running on the train tracks in December, and then being rescued, Ricardo was sent to Sussex County’s Skylands Animal Sanctuary. After getting used to his digs there, Ricardo came down with an infection. So, the leg wound has received additional treatment at Cornell Large Animal Hospital in Upstate New York, where the big bull is still being housed.

Ricardo’s exploits led to a national following, and NJ Transit took the follow up step to start selling plush stuffed bull animals in response. Staff members at Skylands Animal Hospital say Ricardo is on the mend up at Cornell, and that he’s on his best behavior. They’re looking forward to getting him back home in New Jersey.
