(Brooklyn, NY) – The Material Girl is also living in a litigious world, and she received a reminder of that fact on Friday. Two of the pop star’s fans are suing her in federal court, after a concert started over two hours in December of 2023. Plaintiffs Michael Fellow and Jonathan Hadden have sued Madonna, Live Nation, and the Barclays Center, after a December 13th concert didn’t begin until 10:45 PM. It was supposed to begin at 8:30 PM.
In the lawsuit, both plaintiffs say they were left “stranded” when the concert ended at 1:00 AM. That’s because mass transit options had become limited by that time. Hadden and Fellow allege they were forced to pay for an expensive Uber or Lyft ride instead — all while “surge” pricing was in effect. Both men note the experience also left them highly annoyed and affected at work the next day, as they didn’t have the day off, and got little sleep as a result of the concert’s delayed start.
