Concord, NH — South Carolina Republican Senator Tim Scott is endorsing Donald Trump for President.
Scott made the announcement Friday night at a Trump rally in New Hampshire. Scott says Trump will close the southern border and make foreign enemies afraid of America. He also said Trump will protect social security and lower taxes. The endorsement is a blow to Nikki Haley.
The former South Carolina Governor and Republican Presidential candidate is third behind Ron DeSantis and former President Trump who enjoys a commanding lead in the polls. Insiders speculate that Trump could select Tim Scott to join the ticket as his Vice Presidential candidate.
The New Hampshire GOP primary is Tuesday January 23rd.
