SANTA FE, NM — For the second time actor Alec Baldwin has been indicted on involuntary manslaughter charges in connection with the deadly shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the movie set “Rust”. It happened during a rehearsal on the set in the Santa Fe area in October 2021 when the gun went off killing Hutchins, and also injuring director Joel Souza.
Baldwin was charged the first time a year ago, however prosecutors dropped the charge early last year. Baldwin’s attorneys say at the time he was charged under a law that didn’t exist. Baldwin’s attorneys say they’ll fight the current charges.
