BROOKLYN, NY- Two police officers were shot in Brooklyn Tuesday afternoon while responding to a domestic dispute in Brownsville.
Investigators responded to an apartment on Bergen Street where there was a dispute between a mother and her son. They say the son reached for an officer’s gun when they attempted to arrest him for allegedly assaulting his mother. There was a struggle and shots were fired, hitting one officer in the hand, the other in the leg. The suspect was shot in the stomach and leg. All three are expected to survive,
Police say the 39 year old suspect served 15 years in prison for attempted murder in 2004.
