LOS ANGELES , CA — Hunter Biden could be sentenced up to 17 years in prison if convicted in a tax evasion scheme.
The President’s son appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom Thursday where he pleaded not guilty to federal tax charges which were filed after a plea deal last year fell apart. He was charged with nine counts of felony and misdemeanor tax offenses. Prosecutors say its connected to a four-year scheme to avoid paying $1.4 million dollars he owed to the Internal Revenue Service. A trial date was set for June 20th. Biden’s troubles don’t end in California. He’s been charged in Delaware with lying in 2018 on a federal form for gun purchasers, when he said he wasn’t using or addicted to illegal drugs.
