Donald Trump back in a Manhattan courtroom

(New York, NY) — A judge has shot down former President Trump’s request to speak during closing arguments today at his civil fraud trial in Manhattan. Judge Arthur Engoron told Trump’s attorneys that he cannot speak. The New York Attorney General’s Office and Trump’s legal team will both get a turn to address  the judge during the hearing  Trump is charged with defrauding banks and insurers by inflating his net worth.  State lawyers want the Trump Organization to pay a 370-million dollar fine. New York Attorney General Letitia James is also asking the court to bar the Trump organization from doing business in New York.
